Finger Lakes Boating Museum From Our Collection
Penn Yan Scout Canoe

The 16 ft Scout Canoe was offered by Penn Yan from 1948 -1964. Designed for the sportsman, it presented a lower profile than Penn Yan’s Rainbow and Owasco models which rendered it less susceptible to wind deflection while paddling. The boat was purchased by the donor’s father in the early 1950s, and was used extensively on the waterways of New York State.
