Finger Lakes Boating Museum From Our Collection
Penn Yan Swift (UTW)

Penn Yan introduced their famous Swift in 1950, and offered the boat in various configurations through 1962. Available in 10ft, 12ft, 13ft and 14 ft lengths at various times, this sleek craft was advertised as a “stock utility outboard racing runabout”.

The 14 ft boat shown here is the UTW model, offered from 1955 – 1959. Penn Yan advertised this model as
the ideal ski boat, when equipped with a 25hp motor.

This photo was taken shortly after removal from underneath the donor’s cottage, where it had been
stored unused for nearly 40 years.
