The Penn Yan Boat Company began offering the Owasco model canoe in the 1920s, and continued to do so until the mid-1950s. The ONS model was listed in catalogs from the 1920s to 1947. (The "N" designation indicates a 16 ft long canoe, and the "S" signifies spruce gunwales.) |

This canoe is structurally sound. However, the original canvas covering has been replaced with fiberglass.
