Make a Fishing Creel - April 30th- May 1st, 2022 -10 AM- 5 PM both days, taught by Barbara Betrus

Popular in the 19th Century, Fishing Creels were woven baskets with straps worn for fishing. Before “catch and release” became the everyday practice, these fishing creels were worn to keep the fish fresh and nearby. This is a beautiful, lost art form that you can learn to make yourself! Join Barbara Betrus and FLBM to connect with this piece of Finger Lakes history.

Canvassing Workshop

Back by popular demand! Ed Wightman will lead you through his techniques and tactics for laying canvas over wooden boats. A challenging skill to master, and a necessary one to learn, this class is open to all boat builders, both novice and experienced!
