Celebrating Dr. Mina Chung

Mina's spent her life making meaningful connections. Finger Lakes Boating Museum is honored to be a part of her legacy.

The Finger Lakes Boating Museum gratefully received Dr. Mina Chung's rowboat from her husband, Dr. Eddie Lin in 2023 following her unexpected passing a few year prior. Her boat is a replica of historic wooden trout boats that were built starting in the early 20th century and could be found at nearly every dock along the shores of the Finger Lakes. These boats were an easygoing way to access the water for relaxation, fishing, and fun. Mina's boat helps to make boating history and tradition relevant today.

In July 2024, Dr. Lin and Mina's family and friends launched a fundraising effort to help the Museum raise $200,000 to support care for the museum collection and educational programs on boatbuilding and restoration.

Please join the family and friends of Dr. Mina Chung in supporting this appeal.
