Legends and Lore: Up from the Depths
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Join us for a guided theatrical tour full of haunts and history... if you dare!
Will the famed Seneca serpent and the crew of the fated steamboat “Otetiani” make an appearance again this year? What shenanigans await visitors to the darkened Trout Boat Hall? Plus… could there possibly be… more tunnels?!
Our acclaimed and highly anticipated theatrical walking tour program is back for the third Halloween season. Legends & Lore: Up from the Depths will take over the FLBM campus on the evenings of Thursday October 23; Friday, October 24; and Saturday, October 25. This unique program gives us a chance to share the stranger – and sometimes spookier – side of boating in the Finger Lakes. Since the program’s debut in 2023, over 350 guests have explored seldom seen spaces in a whole different light across the Museum campus.
We are honored to partner again with Hammondsport’s Fred & Harriett Taylor Memorial Library, Keuka Lake Players, and Hammondsport Schools to present this year’s program. Games, guest tarot card readers, and other activities will round out the evening’s fun. Plus - light fare, snacks, and beverages will be available for purchase.
Tours of about 18 guests will launch every 15 minutes starting at about 6 p.m. each evening. Advance reservations are highly recommended. Tickets on sale starting September 25, 2025 -- with a special discount for Museum Members.
